The Medium

The Medium is a short two act opera which details the tragedy of Madame Flora, a psychic and medium whose addiction to drink spells misfortune for her daughter and servant boy. They make a living by creating face seances, and after one performed for a married couple and their friend, Baba Flora believes she hears a voice and feels a phantom hand on her throat. Her madness is exacerbated by drink, and tragedy ensues.
