One More River To Cross-Mask Design
BASED ON NARRATIVES AND INTERVIEWS FROM FORMER AFRICAN SLAVES OF THE UNITED STATES, ONE MORE RIVER TO CROSS COMBINES TRADITIONAL SONG, NARRATIVES, AND HIGHLY STAGED MOMENT TO ILLUSTRATE THE STRUGGLE FOR FREEDOM IN THE DAYS BEFORE EMANCIPATION. THE STORY TAKES AUDIENCE MEMBERS FROM AFRICA ACROSS THE OCEAN TO SLAVE BLOCKS, WHERE HUMANS WERE SOLD. STORIES FROM PLANTATIONS AND UNDERGROUND RAILROADS, UNTIL FINALLY FREE AT LAST.
