Dieting is a False Promise

Every January we make resolutions to lose 20lbs and work out every day. Maybe go keto, vegan, or try the new MLM diet pills/wraps.

This time around, I’m looking to just be a little better about my choices. So today, I had carbs. I had cheese. I had chicken in delicious yogurt and garlic sauce.

This time though, I didn’t have a whole plate of pasta and a chicken breast the size of Wisconsin. I had a cup of pasta, enough chicken to fill my hand, delicious cheese sauce (feta and blue cheese, melted down) and 12 shrimp! That’s a lot of food. It’s just not a LOT of food. I’m full, and I don’t feel like barfing because my stomach is so full.

Don’t feel bad for celebrating little achievements. It’s a process to retrain your body to accept that you were overeating and making bad food decisions. Next step is to start making multiple plates, sweet salad courses and appetizers like in a fancy ass restaurant. You eat better when you eat a small amount and give yourself a chance to settle. Then, grab another plate! I’m excited to start eating more interesting food.

I think I’m going to buy a crock pot and some silicone molds. Woho! Horay for healthy eating!
